Bushworker

Disclosure

A site that recommends things you spend money on has to be honest about how it gets paid. Here is the full version.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links on Bushworker are affiliate links. If you click one and buy a product or service through it, Bushworker earns a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only link to gear, services, and merchants we would use ourselves and that we think a working holiday backpacker in Australia would benefit from.

Affiliate programs we participate in include Amazon Associates and a rotating set of gear and travel partners. Any link that is an affiliate link is either marked inline or sits in a section identified as one. If you would rather not use the affiliate link, you can always search for the same product or service directly. We will not be offended.

EzyTranslate

Bushworker is operated by the team behind EzyTranslate, a NAATI-certified translation service that has handled working holiday and migration document translations since 2015. When the topic of translating birth certificates, police checks, driver licences, or academic transcripts comes up, we mention EzyTranslate. We mention them because we run them, and we know the service. Other reputable NAATI translators exist, and we name them where they fit.

If you book a translation through Bushworker, the booking goes directly to EzyTranslate. The pricing is the same as approaching EzyTranslate directly. There is no markup. The connection between the two sites exists because the same team runs both.

What we will not do

  • Accept paid placements, sponsored content, or pay-to-play listings. A farm, hostel, or recruiter cannot pay to appear on Bushworker.
  • Disguise advertising as editorial. Anything paid is labelled. Anything written by a third party is bylined.
  • Recommend a service we have not used, or a product we have not tested or seen tested by people we trust.
  • Sell, rent, or share your email address with anyone. Sign-ups stay on Bushworker.

Editorial independence

Affiliate relationships and the EzyTranslate connection do not influence what we publish. We have negative reviews of partners and positive reviews of competitors throughout the site. If our position on something changes because the evidence changed, we update the page and note the change in the last-updated stamp.

Questions

If anything on this page is unclear, or you spot a placement that looks like advertising but is not labelled, write to us through the contact page.
